Hen party photo booth hire — the 60-second version
Short on time? Here are the essentials. If you want the full picture — including prop ideas and a booking timeline — keep reading.
Which booth suits a hen party best?
A hen party is all about energy, laughter and content the group will be sharing for days. That makes the 360° slow-motion booth our top recommendation. Guests step onto the platform, strike a pose — or attempt a choreographed routine that descends into giggles — and the camera arm sweeps around them, capturing a cinematic clip. The videos land on everyone's phones within seconds, ready for the group chat and the bride-to-be's story.
If physical keepsakes matter more — say you want a printed strip for the bride to keep, or your hen do skews a little more elegant than wild — the Glam Vintage booth is the better fit. It prints unlimited strips throughout the hire and works beautifully with a curated prop box. The Selfie Pod, meanwhile, is the compact, budget-friendly option for smaller hen gatherings or homes with limited space.
Not sure which way to go? We stock all three, so we have no reason to push one over another — our honest 360 vs Vintage vs Selfie Pod comparison breaks down the differences in detail.
Hen party photo booth ideas that actually land
The booth is the canvas — the theme is what makes it yours. A few ideas that consistently get the best reaction at hen parties:
Personalised overlay & hashtag
Add a digital overlay with the bride-to-be's name and a hen party hashtag to every photo and video. It instantly ties the content together when guests post it — and gives you one place to find every clip afterwards.
Themed prop box
Feather boas, oversized sunglasses, sashes, veils and cheeky signs are hen party staples for a reason. Pick a colour scheme — blush pink, gold, or the bride's favourite — and the photos look intentional rather than random.
Matching backdrop
A sequin or floral backdrop lifts every single shot and makes the booth a focal point of the room. It's a small upgrade that completely changes how polished the photos look.
GIF & boomerang mode
Short looping clips are made for social media. They're quick, they're funny, and they capture the group's energy better than a static photo — ideal for the build-up to the wedding.
How much does a hen party photo booth cost?
Our 360° booth — the most popular hen party choice — starts from £280 for a 2-hour package. Prefer to keep costs down? The Selfie Pod starts from £200 and the Glam Vintage from £280. Most hen parties book a 2–3 hour slot — long enough for everyone to have several goes without the booth sitting idle.
A 15% deposit secures your date, with the balance due before the event. Add-ons like a custom overlay, premium backdrop or printed strips are easy to layer on. Space, setup and timing on the night
Whether your hen do is at a venue, a function room or someone's home, space is worth checking first. The 360° booth needs roughly 3m × 3m of clear floor and a ceiling height of at least 2.5m for the rotating arm. The Glam Vintage booth and Selfie Pod are happy in just 2m × 2m, which makes them the easy choice for tighter rooms.
Our friendly, DBS-checked attendant arrives early to set up — usually 30 to 90 minutes before guests, depending on the booth — and stays throughout to keep things running and help with props. We're fully insured with £5M public liability, and all equipment is PAT-tested, so the venue side is covered too. The booth tends to get busiest an hour or two into the party, once everyone's warmed up, so a mid-evening start usually works best.
How far in advance should you book?
Hen parties are often planned months ahead, so the simplest rule is: book the booth as soon as the date is locked in. Practically, 6–8 weeks gives you a comfortable run-up, but Saturdays in summer and across December get reserved well before that. If your date is close, don't assume you've missed out — last-minute slots do open up, and it only takes a moment to check availability.
